I know a great way to level fast!

Play the game through it, without running/skipping missions. Like really, level 11 in Crystal Desert. And judging from your post, it's your first char too.

the fact that he is a level 11 in crystal desert usually means he had other characters, and wanted to rush past most of the missions, thats typically how it goes, the newbs do all the missions thinking its the only way, so your quite wrong

The fact that he's a w/mo and wants to level fast proves that I'm quite right. If he DID have a char before it, he should/would know about (cough)Ascension(cough).

Or maybe he's done all the missions on his other characters, and has only made casters so far. My first warrior was my 4th or so character, and he's still only level 13 or so, too boring.

Maybe he's making his first W/Mo farmer, and doesn't know if it's possible to farm at level 11 outside Augury.

AND Ascension takes time, and groups would never take a level 11. Maybe he wants to level up to 19/20 quickly, so he can get on with ascension.

being quick to criticise usually results in rubbing people the wrong way, to avoid the flames, be a little more openminded, many people have exulded classes because they just havent gotten to them yet, so allow the newbs to be newbs without making them feel like it

like ppl say its down to personal taste, i know my first char i refused to be run or skip any part of the game as i wanted to enjoy it as it was ment to be, but after you have made 6 char it really does get VERY boring doing the same missions and so on, so i get run around by guildys just to get my char where i want him.
answer to the question:
in crystal desert as nicely for a grffen farmer to do some farming and you just step into the aggro circle as they drop dead and boom loads of exp for free then do the eccension missions and go kill your double and boom loads more exp.
hope this helps you out.

That's the part that makes me think this is a first time character. I'm betting he has high level friends and wants to catch up. If he had a previous character, he could pay for runs and just ascend. That Dop is seriously easy and I don't know about level 11, but 14 will get you 20 -- I guarentee.

Farm if you like. It will help you pay for Running through the missions. You certainly have the class for it, hopefully you picked up a skill or two along the way. I myself have never been run anywhere, but I do the missions with henchmen up until Lion's Arch, then spend a few frustrating hours fighting my way to the Temple via HotSprings, then a couple more duking it out to Fisherman's Haven and Sanctum. By that time, I'm usually ~lvl 15 and able to take any of the missions and my Doppleganger with relative ease. Total time to Amnoon ~15-18 hours of gameplay from Searing. Is that fast enough?

see now, being lvl 11 in the desert is useless,i too, thoguht it was smart to have a lvl 9 fire nuker/air spiker and a lvl 10 healing/prot monk,it really pisses you off, when ur in elona, dunes, and thirsty when you get invited to a group, and get kicked, trust me,ive done it,and ifu want to train,be like the rest of us,and go kill char, while ur 11,dont be a fool and waste ur time training in the desert, which is useless as a w/mo now,and all the mosnters would own you, you'd think with droknars, you could take anything on,hah, trust me its not

Heck, I just go, grab a bunch of henches, and kill stuff in the desert. Then I make sure to stay out of the actual firefight.

Did you know there's a much easier way to get to Santum Cay? From Maguuma Stade there is a secret passage along a river to Riverside Province and then you just mission it to the desert from there. Exp is just as good, but, a whole lot easier and nice drops too.

I disagree, I make the effort to do every quest and misson (although not bonuses) with all my characters, I find its the fastest way to level up and it gives a good reminder of the depth of the game when you see cut scenes again, especially if its been a while. Plus, if you are making characters wtih different professions then there are a number of quests specific to that class which you might not have done before...

actually, I recently made a character for the same reason, farming - I was level 13/4 in the desret, and Dunes of Despair is easy with henchies, just grab the slow totem and place it by the right gate. =) Elona get a runner, and for Thirsty... well I guess you could try henchies, or if you're in a guild get someone to help you. Ascension is really really easy and you'll be very close to twenty by then - I don't suggest farming before level 20. (maybe one 15 att point quest too)

Cap, I had no intention to be insulting, just deductive. You didn't specify, and you weren't answering previous posts. But this does beg the question, if you've done it before, then you know how to... So why are you asking? 18 hours isn't fast enough?

'Secret' passage? I thought that was the normal way... The reason I skip it is time. RP is one looooooooong mission, and pretty boring too. And I skip the jungle missions since I've played them all with the first 2 characters. I like the desert and ascension -- for me, that's where the fun begins.
